The 13th Annual Core Sound Decoy Festival is coming soon and it promises to be bigger and better than ever. There will be over 100 carvers, decoy painting, float tank competitions, carving contests, and much, much more. There will be an auction on Saturday evening as well as raffles on Sunday. Harkers Island School will be selling clam chowder, shrimp burgers, and their famous banana pudding. Come one and all with plenty of money and a big appetite.
The Core Sound Decoy Festival is held at Harkers Island Elementary and is open from 10 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. For more information about the Core Sound Decoy Festival go to Core Sound Festival or Core Sound Carvings
Be sure to visit our new Core Sound Decoy Guild Home on the "Other Side of the Bridge" while you're in town. Our carvers are there almost daily throughout the year except for Sundays and some holidays. The Guild meets on the third Tuesday of each month. Stop by and see all that we have to offer.
